The fifth Kate Moss Topshop collection is in-store now. In it, Kate once more captures her eclectic sense of contemporary style. There’s a flavour of the bohemian traveller about it with influences ranging from Miami and Ibiza to India with many notes and tones in between.
A fluid, Gypsy theme runs through with mini tunic dresses and capelets, highlighted by tiny glass bugle beads. There’s a silk patchwork print dress with a cut-about hem. There are native American feather print, hand drawn, nautical inspired stripes or intricate embroidered patterns decorating the collection’s flowing jersey.
1940’s Floral prints, Aztec designs and dusty colours adorn perfect feather-weight chiffon dresses and blouses. 1950’s prom-style cotton dresses are knife pleated, in sherbet yellow and green and white striped seersucker. Rose pink shirting is cast with stars or stripes, finished with narrow-leg kick flares.
The collection includes dramatic eveningwear. How about a stunning black crepe empire-line and floor length gown with tasseled neckline? A jet black beaded flapper dress perhaps or maybe a floor-length, printed black chiffon dress with waterfall ruffles.
Pieces in the Kate Moss Topshop Spring / Summer ’08 start from £10 for a vest, and range to £150 for a premium dress.
